The 2015 Space Awards Winner’s show will air on various South American channels in less than 20 hours. As a producer and production manager for the US crew on this green screen project (my first), I learned I have a tendency to become idle when things that aren’t in my control go wrong, and my mind extrapolates out to the worst-case scenario. We were lucky enough to have a great crew, and I observed and learned from some fellow crew members that you can actively problem solve in a calm manner even when chaos and shit sandwiches are beating down the door. It was a fairly stressful day, but we got what we needed to, and I’m grateful for the insight into my own processes and those of others. Another experience gained.
